Welcome to May! This month I’m participating in the Blog Every Day in May Challenge! Today’s post subject - Day 1, Wednesday: The story of your life in 250 words or less (or one paragraph... no one will be counting your words... probably)
The Story of My Life in 242 Words
I was born in 1974 in West Virginia; my parents had been high school sweethearts and I was their first child. 15 months (to the day) later, my brother was born. When I was 5, my parents separated; the divorce was final the summer I turned 6 and my dad died in a motorcycle crash one month later. My mom re-married five years later and remains married to my stepfather to this day.
Eleven days after my 17th birthday I gave birth to Baby Girl. When I was 18 I married my first husband. Four months before I turned 20 I gave birth to 9 1/2 pound Monkey Man. I divorced at 22 and moved to South Carolina the following summer. The following year I met DH; we’ve been a couple for 14 1/2 years and married for the past 6 years. In the fall of 2011, at the age of 37, I gave birth to Little Man.
In the time since DH and I have been together, we left South Carolina and moved to the east coast of Florida (near Daytona Beach). We lived in Florida for 9 years. In 2008 we purchased our home in Colorado; I moved to Colorado in March 2009 and DH was here by the end of the summer. We live here in the southern mountains with Little Man, our two dogs – Hyper Dog and The Cuddler, 20 chickens and our bunny – Sammy.
What a great summary :) Jumping here from the may challege. Nice to meet you :)

I love the pictures! Great story and thanks for sharing. =)
ReplyDeleteFun to get the back story.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the loss of your Father. Probably not the first thing I would be drawn to if I hadn't lost a child... Baby at 17, I can't relate. One kid at 37, I can't relate. Triplets at 37 I can ;) You fit a bunch of life into 242 words. I can't say much with only 250 words ;)
